iStart Rajasthan — IP, Quality Certification, and Market Development Reimbursement

Three additional incentive types under the iStart Rajasthan startup policy, separate from the seed grant already in the DB: (1) Patent reimbursement up to ₹2L per patent for DPIIT-recognised Rajasthan startups; (2) Quality certification reimbursement up to ₹1L for ISO/BIS/CE certifications; (3) Market development assistance up to ₹3L for trade fair participation and pilot deployments. All three are claimable in the same financial year subject to individual caps. Rajasthan's tech startup ecosystem is concentrated in Jaipur with growing presence in Kota and Udaipur. The iStart policy has been active since 2017 and has a large pool of eligible claims that go unclaimed because startups are unaware of the IP and quality reimbursement components.

Valid DPIIT Certificate of Recognition from Startup India portal. iStart Rajasthan portal verifies DPIIT recognition status before processing any claim — Rajasthan must be the primary state in DPIIT registration.
Tip: Ensure Rajasthan is selected as the primary state in the DPIIT recognition. Recognition must have been active at the time each claimed expense was incurred.

Entity Incorporation Certificate
Certificate of Incorporation confirming Rajasthan-registered or Rajasthan-operational startup entity.
Tip: If registered outside Rajasthan, provide a Rajasthan operational address proof (Jaipur/Kota/Udaipur office lease) to establish Rajasthan nexus for iStart claims.

Patent Filing Receipt (For Patent Claim)
IPO Form 1 acknowledgement or patent grant certificate confirming the patent was filed. Required as primary evidence for the patent reimbursement claim (up to ₹2L per patent).
Tip: Form 1 acknowledgement suffices — grant is not required. For PCT filings, the WIPO international filing receipt with Indian filing date is the key document.

Quality Certification Award (For Quality Claim)
Official certification award letter (ISO, BIS, CE, NABL, or other recognised certification) for the quality certification reimbursement claim (up to ₹1L).
Tip: Full certificate required — provisional certifications are not eligible. Attach complete certificate pages including scope and validity.

Trade Fair or Event Participation Evidence (For MDA Claim)
Participation certificate, stall booking confirmation, or exhibitor/delegate badge from international or national trade fairs for the MDA claim (up to ₹3L). No canonical key exists for event attendance evidence — submit as supporting attachments alongside the CA certificate.
Tip: Download certificates from event organisers immediately after the event — organisers often stop issuing certificates 30 days post-event. Virtual event screenshots of exhibitor/speaker confirmation are also acceptable.

CA Certificate — All Eligible Expenses (UDIN Required)
CA certificate summarising all three claim types in one certificate (or separate certificates per type): patent agent fees + IPO filing fees (patent claim); certification body fees + consultant fees (quality claim); and trade fair registration + travel + collateral costs (MDA claim). All with original invoices attached, certified with UDIN.
Tip: Bundle all three claim types in one CA certificate for the financial year — this is more efficient than three separate submissions. UDIN is mandatory.

Bank Account Details (Cancelled Cheque)
Cancelled cheque for entity current account for all iStart Rajasthan reimbursements.
Tip: Use the same account across all iStart Rajasthan claims — consistency avoids reverification delays.
