Reading a scheme detail page
Every scheme in the BenefitStack directory has a dedicated detail page. These pages are publicly accessible — you do not need an account to read them. They are structured the same way across all schemes so you always know where to find the information you need.
Sections on a scheme page
Overview
A plain-language description of what the scheme is, which ministry or department runs it, and what type of benefit it provides (grant, subsidy, tax benefit, loan guarantee).
Eligibility criteria
A checklist of the conditions your company must meet to apply. Common criteria include:
- Legal entity type (e.g. Private Limited only, or MSME-registered)
- Years since incorporation
- Annual turnover range
- Sector or industry classification
- State of registration or operation
- DPIIT recognition or Startup India registration
If a criterion is automatically checked by your assessment answers, it will be marked accordingly on schemes in your results page.
Documents required
A list of documents you need to gather before applying. This typically includes incorporation certificates, GST registration, bank statements, audited financials, and sector-specific licences. See Documents you will need for a cross-scheme overview of common documents.
Frequently asked questions
Scheme-specific questions and answers sourced from official government publications and common applicant queries.
The "Check your eligibility" button
At the top and bottom of every scheme page is a Check your eligibility button. Clicking it takes you to the assessment flow, which matches you against this scheme and all others simultaneously.
Structured data
Each scheme page includes JSON-LD structured data (FAQPage and BreadcrumbList) so that eligibility FAQs can appear directly in Google search results.
